With over 150 persons attending the event in the large function room at the Dentons law firm, seating capacity was exceeded to the extent that a back folding wall at the end of the room had to be opened up to provide additional seating for all.

The keynote speaker, Taha Meli Arvas, CEO and Vice-Chairman of the Board of EPIAŞ and an adviser to the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, provided a comprehensive overview of the scope and potential of the Turkish mining sector. The panel session focused on ESG and Critical Minerals. There was a full and positive discussion session afterwards.

Immediately following the CTBC / DEIK conference, there was a roundtable session with Alberta government officials that focused on: 1) the province’s strategy to develop its mineral resources, and 2) a planned provincially-led clean tech mission to Türkiye in September/October 2024.
