The participation of the Turkish delegation to the 2025 edition of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) was an unqualified success, with program highlights including:

• A useful information and networking meeting hosted by the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE), and

• A well-attended seminar hosted jointly by the Canada Türkiye Business Council (CTBC) and the Türkiye Canada Business Council (TCBC) of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK) that highlighted Türkiye’s mining potential and investment opportunities, with program highlights including:

  • A fireside chat with Mehmet Yilmaz, Chairman of the Board of Tüprag Metal Madencilik (a subsidiary of Eldorado Gold), President of the Turkish Miners Association, and President of the TCBC, moderated by Rocco Rossi, immediate past President and CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC).

  •  A panel titled “Success Stories of Canadian Mining Companies in Türkiye” chaired by Nursel Atar, Founding Partner, Legisterra Business Consulting, CTBC Board Member, TCBC Board Member and Vice-President, and Vice President of the CTBC Women’s Network (CTBC WoN), and
    o Remarks by Taha Meli Arvas, CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Epiaş (responsible for operating the electricity and natural gas markets in Turkey).
